Trends come and go so quickly, it’s hard to keep up! Especially when you are busy planning a wedding and trying to keep up with everything else in life. That’s why at Always Elegant Bridal and Tuxedo, our stylists have you covered! We are always keeping an eye out for new trends so we can be up to date with current styles and keep providing dresses that we know you’ll LOVE.

A trend we are seeing a lot of this year is dual-fabrics! The mix of chiffon and satin or velvet accents takes the traditional and modern bridesmaid dress and bumps it up to something a little more modern and unique. Fabrics like velvet and satin are becoming super popular and these unique fabrics can take a simple silhouette and give it that extra somethin-somethin’.

2020 also seems to be all about different necklines and attention to small details! More brides and bridesmaids are straying away from the “traditional” bridesmaid dresses with more simple v-necks or tank top straps and moving more towards something that is unique and different. High neck, one shoulder, strapless, cowl necks, strappy & fun backs, slits, and ruffle sleeves are starting to make the headline, and they allow your maids to show a bit more of their personality while still having a sleek and classy look on the big day. Some brides have also been switching up the length of their ‘maids dresses and choosing something more midi-level than a typical floor length dress. And if you are loving the style of a full-length dress but want something shorter, our stylists will advise you on which styles can be shortened in alterations.

I’m sure every woman out there has an idea on what their wedding colors are going to be (I know I do!). The beauty of a wedding color palette is there is room for a little variation! Whether you want to have your ‘maids in different shades of a certain color, or want them all in the same shade- we have swatches for you to look through and one of our stylists can help you decide what matches your style best.

Our favorite color trends for 2020 are Eucalyptus, Sangria, Slate/Dusty Blue, Garnet/Wine, Vintage Rose, Rust, Desert Rose, and Evergreen. They would look great paired with greenery or flowers for a more natural and rustic feel, OR with some bling and sparkle if you are going for more of a formal look.

Our designers carry variations of these as well, so you are able to find the “in between” colors for the perfect hue. As a general rule of thumb, if you are going to be mixing colors for your bridal party to make sure you stay within the same color gradient! This will help with guaranteeing your wedding party looks cohesive and put together.

Finding colors that match perfectly can be a little overwhelming, so let our AE stylists be there to guide you along the way! Schedule an appointment with one of our stylists and we will talk you through everything you need to know and help you make the best decisions for you and your wedding!
