What was the most important thing for you about finding the perfect dress?

The most important thing for me when I was looking for my wedding dress was that I wanted to feel confident and beautiful. I looked on Pinterest and multiple wedding blogs to find a style that I loved before trying any dresses on. I went to AE Bridal with a particular dress that I wanted to try on, and I was certain of styles I didn’t want. The stylist recommended that I try on different styles of dresses just to see how they looked on me & that was the best advice I could have received. I ended up loving the one style I never imagined feeling confident in. I chose a mermaid style bridal gown by Lillian West and it was perfect.

What was the best personal moments of your wedding day?

My absolute favorite moment of the entire day was during our first dance. As we were twirling around on the dance floor I saw how many people were standing around watching us, and that moment made me realize how blessed Jeffrey & I are. All of our loved ones were in the same room, celebrating us.Another precious moment was during dinner. As I finished my food I sat back in my seat and just soaked in all of the emotions that I had experienced that day. It was the only moment where I felt like time was paused, and I could really embrace the love that I felt from everyone around us.

Please share something that stood out on your wedding day?

Jodi & her team {with CES Weddings and Events} made the entire day feel effortless. They sorted out the kinks, solved all the problems, and allowed us to enjoy every second of the day.

What was your inspiration for your wedding day and dress?

Jeffrey and I were engaged for a year and four months, which gave us plenty of time to brainstorm ideas/themes for the wedding. I came up with the theme, “rustic romance”. I wanted to have glass candle holders with mercury glass accents, paired with greenery to create the romantic look while taking place within a rustic barn. We also created wood round magnets as party favors to enhance the rustic feel. My lace dress also added to the rustic look, but the mermaid style kept it elegant.
