Their love story…
Lucas and I first met each other freshman year of high school in 2007 but we didn’t really start to get to know each other until the summer of 2012 at our mutual friends party. We went on our first date that summer and we decided to make it “official” to be together October 2012. Each time I spent with him I fell more in love him. I knew he was the man for me in so many ways and we compliment each other so well! Lucas then proposed December 4, 2016 at the Victorian Christmas in Nevada City. Which was a total surprise and it’s so hard for him to keep anything from me! It was an amazing day shared by family and friends that we will remember forever. A year and a half later we got married June 9, 2018! It was such a perfect and amazing day! We are so happy to spend the rest of our lives together and go on many adventures in life. We look forward to the future and to start a family one day!
What was the most important thing for you about finding the perfect dress?
I knew for sure I wanted lace and a see through back. I also wanted to see absolutely nothing I wanted to change in the dress and I wanted to see myself get married to my future husband in. At other bridal stores I kept picking things apart BUT I was able to find the perfect dress at Always Elegant Bridal and I didn’t want to change a thing!
What was the best personal moments of your wedding day?
We wrote a letter to each other to read before the ceremony. It felt so heartfelt and real. It made me that much more excited to meet him at the end of the aisle.
Please share something that stood out on your wedding day?
So hard to pick! Lol. I don’t think I can pin point a specific one. I do feel like I had such an amazing support team from family friends and my wedding planner. They made it pretty close to stress free on my day and made it so perfect!
What was your inspiration for your wedding day and dress?
I wanted simple decor with rustic and antique feel to it. I didn’t want to do too much to overpower and blend in with my venue at Empire Mine State Park.
{this photo brought me to tears. I personally know this family seeing this moment between these two is priceless}.
Any advice to future brides?
Not easy but try not to sweat the small stuff since it won’t matter in the end! Also try to live in the moment as much as possible. The planning and the wedding day itself flies by.
