What was the most important thing for you about finding the perfect dress?
I wanted it to be practical for the venue we had chosen. I wanted to comfortable, but still have that “wedding” feeling. I had a vision of what I wanted my dress to look like and I was SO happy to have found the dress I did.
What was the best personal moments of your wedding day?
Hearing my (now) husband and guests talk about how beautiful everything turned out–especially because I did all of the planning (from afar) and only saw the location twice. I can’t even count the number of times I heard people say how fun it was and it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
Please share something that stood out on your wedding day?
I didn’t feel an ounce of stress! I was surprised. Also, I was blown away at how much everyone volunteered to help to get things done whenever needed.
What was your inspiration for your wedding day and dress?
I just wanted it to be a fun party. My husband and I had already been together for almost 12 years so I was determined to make the day fun and a celebration of bringing our closest friends and family together. From the first time we talked about marriage, we agreed on a beach wedding and surprisingly, we never wavered on that
Any advice to future brides?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. I guarantee, if something goes wrong, NO ONE will notice. You’re the only one who knows exactly how everything was planned. Make sure to take time to enjoy the day and celebrate all of the planning coming to fruition and now you’re done. Just have fun!
