We love it when someone takes a problem and turns it into a smart solution and we especially love that we get to share it with you!

PROBLEM:  For those that don’t know yet, it takes many weeks for the professional photographers to sort through the 100’s of photos they shot at your wedding, edit, organize, etc. and that means you wait for what seems like an eternity (my little sister waited 7 months)to see pictures from your special day.  Meanwhile, your friends & family took pictures of their own with their personal cameras but getting them to print them out or email them to you can take just as long.  Let’s face it, how many of us at this exact moment have pictures sitting in our digital cameras that we have been meaning to print out for a really long time? (Do you see me raising my hand? <blush>)

SOLUTION:  The people over at theweddinglens.com have come up with a one-stop way for your guests to share the pictures from their own digital cameras with you.  In their own words, this is how it works-

The bride and groom can customize their FREE or a premium ($49.95) album with their relevant details, and then upload the email addresses of their guests. About a week before the wedding, we send their guests an email encouraging them to bring a digital camera and takes lots of photos. The day after the wedding we send out another email reminding them to upload all of the cool photos they took of the bride and groom to their album. Our average album gets about 500 to 600 photos and some get as many as 1200.

I think it’s ingenious!  I wandered around their site yesterday and really appreciated how user-friendly it is.  Simple, straightforward, share-able.  Some other features:  easy upload (all at once, instead of one-by-one), archive option (they put all your pics on disc), categories (ceremony, reception, etc.), mark your favorites… they’ve really thought about how to make it easy & useful for you, please check them out!!
